Newbie question - connecting bloom to a running database

Non technical user trying to get to grips with neo4j I've got neo4j desktop installed and connected to a hosted database. I click on the blue down arrow on the database and select neo4j bloom. Bloom loads and tells me it couldn't find an active data...
