Possible bug when running an heavy Query

Running community Edition 4.4.5 with browser 4.4.3, 64GB RAM, 32 allocated to Neo4j

While running an heavy :auto LOAD CSV .... the browser lost the connection with the server.

This is a screenshot of the browser, which is not connected nor responding while the query looks still running (see the rolling icons in the lower right corner, which is not real as the server is disconnected), the CPU is 100% on all the available threads: what does it means? How can I bypass this problem?

I think the database loaded to many things at the same time or it was a connection issue.
Did you retry to execute the query?
Can you share the query please?

I rerun the query several times, but the result has always been the same.
My idea is to try lo load using the cypher shell and not the browser, because the issue looks in the browser that loose the connection with the db which uses all the available threads at 100%, so the browser doesn't answer the DB to check if it still alive or viceversa.

Here is the query: the only difference with similar ones is the file size: 4GB with at list 31.500.000 lines.

You need to optimize all queries for operations of this size because there will never be enough RAM to do them all at once.

These requests must be compatible with Neo4j Community 4.4.5.

You should also use MERGE clause instead of CREATE clause especially if you are creating UNIQUE CONSTRAINTS before:

I'm also pretty sure you can reduce the workload when you compute types (type, type1, subType).
Don't pass variables throughout the query like type, you don't need it anymore after you set the labels.

It's hard to do more without a data set to test.

To conclude, you don't need more RAM, you just need to optimize queries

Well, these queries are sequential, so I don't need to DETACH DELETE IN TRANSACTIONS because they run like a charm. The problem is with the main body, the one with LOAD CSV.

I'll surely change CREATE with MERGEand remove type but, anyway, the server disconnect (I made another post for this) because it is overloaded - look at this image:

You can try running your query directly through cypher-shell to avoid the connection part?

Here is the complete offending query: it loads 8,999,000 rows. Tonight (without Transactions) it run out of memory!

So, I added transactions.

But, looking at the manual, I tried to different ways before running this query:

I suggest you to read this 2 posts.

Your DBMS is dying due to garbage collection issues, this line 2022-04-29 16:15:00.868+0000 WARN [o.n.k.i.c.VmPauseMonitorComponent] Detected VM stop-the-world pause: {pauseTime=30391, gcTime=10186, gcCount=2} means that your db paused for more than 30 seconds (and I guess its not the only pause. This is mainly due to lack of query tuning.

Can you split your logic of transaction creation and other elements in a way that the Plan of each query doesn't contain any eager operation?

I understand the concept of eager operation, but it's not clear which is an eager operation and how to discover it!

BTW, I think you can simplify the following snippet from your query as shown:
