This happens on macOS Catalina when trying to install Neo4j Desktop version 1.2.3
Catalina requires all apps that are signed with developer IDs to be 'notarized' by Apple. In the absence of an updated version from the developer, the way around this is removing the quarantine with xattr
.
Any idea when the desktop app will be notarized by Apple?

Welcome to the community Andre!
We are aware of the issue with Neo4j Desktop on OS X Catalina.
You can get around the problem by going to the security settings and allowing the app.
Engineering is aware of the issue with Catalina and it will most likely be fixed in the next release of Neo4j Desktop, but for now, it is fine to use.

Hi Elaine,
I have the save problem on OX Monterey.
In System Preferences - Security & Privacy I don't get the message "allow the app".
Could you help me to get around the problem?
Many thanks
