Connect self-hosted Node to managed (Aura) cluster

Hi, is it possible to connect a self-hosted node (eg. in South Africa) to a managed Aura cluster in order to bring data closer to the users while still having the safety of a managed solution?

Unfortunately not for aura clusters all cluster members need to be on aura and managed by the kubernetes operator there.

There is also an option of a fully cloud-managed-service that also offers other regions. Not sure if SA is already in the list of Aura regions?

Unfortunately not. At least not for Aura Professional. It might be available on Aura Enterprise.
