if you are in a Calgary, the data for good dataThon is a great opportunity to meet other experts in the data and analytics domain while contributing to a good cause. DataThons are a bit different than a hackathon in that they are a full collaboration whose goal is to deliver real insight on real data to not for profit organizations.
This weekends dataThon is of particular interest to me personally not only because I get to have fun applying graph methods to answer questions and analyze data, but because it is for the Calgary Arts foundation. I am a member of the Kinkonauts Improv society, who are part of the Calgary Arts Foundation.
