Larry Zeichner
As a senior or lead Neo4j Database Administrator on the Enterprise Data Services team, you’ll assist with standing up new enterprise Neo4j database environments at Progressive. You’ll help in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our Neo4j environments and databases. You’ll create and leverage scripts to automate tasks and operational functions. This may include creating and managing backups, and automation of building environments. Neo4j is an emerging technology within Progressive, so you’ll collaborate and build partnerships with the application development teams to enable them to utilize the Neo4j environment and toolset. You’ll also build strong documentation as well as create processes and procedures that are important to this role.
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering) and a minimum four years of related work experience with database application development, database administration, and/or operating system administration with RDBMS.
- Instead of degree, a minimum of six years related work experience outlined in the above bullet
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge and experience in Neo4j DB including experience with Cypher
- Knowledge of Desired State, Config Management, Orchestration (e.g. Azure DevOps), Terraform and Ansible)
- Knowledge and experience in cloud environments (e.g. AWS)
- Experience with Scripting (e.g. Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of Linux, experience monitoring with Splunk and understanding of other NoSQL DBs a plus
